We had created learning materials for home use with missing letters, but now they have become too easy, for us at-least. We need slightly more challenging tasks to develop children’s thinking.
Unlike missing letters, in these digital resources, several letters are lost in each word, not just one.
These tasks help children learn to read and write. These printable worksheets should definitely be in your preschool activity arsenal.
These printable free educational worksheets contain a list of words with illustrations and missing letters. Perhaps some words will be unfamiliar to children, but this can be seen as an additional benefit – the child will learn new words.

What kind of tasks are in the worksheets?
The printable task sheets consist of 10 pages, and each page has 11 examples. Each example consists of a small illustration and a word with several missing letters. The child needs to fill in the missing letters. As an additional task, they can be asked to drag and drop all the letters. This way, the child learns the alphabet, practices drawing, and writing printed letters.
For instance, at home, we give the older child the task of finding the letters, and then the younger one redraws them, training their hand with letter and line drawing. Two tasks with one worksheet. 😉
Who are these worksheets and tasks intended for?
The learning materials are designed for preschool-aged children – six-year-olds, five-year-olds, or even four-year-olds. It’s quite individual, and the child’s parents will definitely know if the task is challenging enough for the child to develop new skills. Practical activities in the task sheets can be useful for preschool educational institutions, kindergartens, as well as in Montessori education.
Parents should definitely take a look to see if the child understands what needs to be done, and maybe offer a little help at first. Encourage the child not to be afraid to ask if any illustration or icon is not clear.
