Necessary items

To realize this idea you will need

• Snow
• Empty PET bottles
• Make small hole into the cork of the bottle
• Gouache or water colors – old, new – the ones you will not regretting to dissolve
• Dissolve the colors into water
• Fill bottles with colorful water
• Go outside with kids to paint

Preparation

Need to collect oar find some empty plastic bottles, not really important what kind of, could be from drinks or empty shampoo bottles.
But take in consideration that transparent bottles looks better, and you will not need to guess what kind of color of water is in it.

For sure you have some empty bottles, if you have you already have half of necessary ingredients.

Second part is old or new gauche colors or water colors. This is good opportunity to get rid of some ld water colors that are already mixed with some other colors or just dry and hard as stone.

Dissolve, mix the color with colors in some bucket. Give this task to kids, they will love this action.
You can allow also to mix dissolved colors together to see how they mix and make new color, but be aware not to make all colors dark brown.

Fill the empty bottles with the colorful water, and pierce hole into the cork. Bigger the hole faster you will run out of ammunition, so try to make them small as possible.
When this done, new artists can go out and outside and use the snow as their canvas.

From experience, the amount of color water is never enough.

In this article, we will be focusing on analog animation using overhead projectors. These old-school devices allow you to put transparent sheets on them and project the images onto a screen. Not really great investment right? While they may not be the latest technology, you can find a used one at a low price or for free.

The idea behind this type of animation is pretty simple. You can draw characters from your favorite stories onto transparent sheets and then use the overhead projector to animate them. This can be a fun and entertaining activity to do with family and friends, especially children.

You can even use the projector to play guessing games with your guests. Simply project transparent or non-transparent objects onto the screen and have your guests guess what the object is. Children are sure to love this activity, and it can be a great way to spend a few evenings with friends and family. While computer animation may be the norm today, there is still something special about analog animation that should not be overlooked.

What’s needed

• Used overhead projector – You can check online marketplaces such as eBay or Facebook Marketplace to find a used overhead projector.
• Transparent sheets – For your canvas, you can use document pockets or any transparent plastic. You can even use cut plastic bottles.
• Permanent markers – It is recommended that you first draw on white paper to test your drawings before redrawing them on a transparent sheet.
• Choose a fairy tale or story to “animate” – When choosing a fairy tale or story to “animate,” it is advisable to start with simpler stories with fewer characters and decorations. These are easier to remember and retell, especially for children.
• If you have a printer and do not want to draw everything by hand, there are sheets of transparent “paper” that can be used in printers. However, not all plastic sheets are suitable for use in printers. Some may only work with inkjet printers. If the paper is thin enough, it may be possible to project the light through it using an overhead projector.
• To draw your characters and scenery, use permanent markers to create your illustrations on transparent sheets.
• Wait for dark or close the curtains and the show can start.
  

Why is it an awesome idea?

• It’s interesting for both young and old, kids and parents.
• It’s a great way to get kids off their gadgets.
• Kids can learn how to illustrate and transfer their imagination onto paper.
• Children can learn how to retell stories.
• Additionally, they can learn how to present their stories in front of others.

While we have not done this for some time, we believe it can be a fun and engaging activity for everyone involved. And also dark period of the year is here so we will restart to do this more often, and we recommend you do the same thing too.

In this exact example steel buttons, plastic bottle and magnet is used. Pretty, simple right?
Of-course those are not the things that you have lying around at house usually, but its interesting and cheep experiment.
Just have to buy the  metallic, steel balls, and powerful magnet and drink some mineral water to get the bottle.

But be careful, don’t let kids to put the magnet or the metallic balls,spheres into mouth.

Necessary items for the project

Powerful magnet

Sometimes old furniture has some magnets, maybe you can steal those, also headphones and speakers has some magnetic parts. If you have time and energy of tinkering you can find some magnets laying around.
Bigger/stronger magnet will attract bigger elements. Have to be careful when playing with magnets, sometimes, it has happened to me, that i get skin between the magnets, and that is not really fun thing.
Weaker magnets will not attract other elements so strong so we can use smaller spheres than in video shown.

Steel spheres

If you have roller skates, skateboard or long-board, probably you are changing bearings from time to time. Well, from old bearings you can get some metallic spheres if you have the lying around somewhere. They are not so big as in video, but smaller balls don’t need so strong magnet and smaller steel spheres will be easier to find and they will be cheerer.
